01Perched on the lush hills of Uvita, Costa Rica, Maui Residence is a home that feels like an extension of the landscape itself. Designed by 3Astudio, this residence embraces the contours of the land, creating an effortless flow between architecture and nature. With its clean lines, open spaces, and unobstructed views, this home redefines tropical living with a modern touch.
At the heart of Maui Residence is its multi-tiered infinity pool, cascading over the hillside and reflecting the ever-changing sky. The spacious terrace invites relaxation, while the interiors remain warm and inviting with natural textures and earthy tones. More than just a house, this is a sanctuary—where modern design and untouched nature exist in perfect balance.
Our approach
02The goal was to create a home that disappears into its surroundings while offering an unparalleled living experience. Large overhangs provide shade and protection from the elements, while floor-to-ceiling glass doors erase the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Natural ventilation and passive cooling keep the home comfortable year-round, reducing its environmental footprint.
